Step 1: Think about what you want to organise or store
First, look at the items listed below to decide which of them you want to store and add in anything missing from the list. The idea is not to think too detailed at this stage but more to get a feel for your general storage needs.

2. Sketch the garage space as a top view
First up, measure your walls and use the grid below to mark out your garage space as if you were looking down from the ceiling.
3. Sketch your wall space out as if you were facing them and note any features that can not be moved such as electrical sockets, boilers, metres etc. This allows you work out how much storage you can add to each wall.
